Blindingly Fast Broadband Internet

What is Broadband?

"Broadband" is simply a term used to describe a high speed internet connection; that is, a connection which is greater than 128Kbps (Kilobits per second). That's about twice as fast as a good 56k dialup modem. At NetSpeed, we like to think of true Broadband as being a connection in the order of at least 1Mbps (1 Megabit per second) which is about 20 times faster than a good modem.

Why would you want a faster connection? Well, have you ever gone to a website that took forever to download? You click on a link and after a few minutes, you're still waiting? With a Broadband connection, you won't have to wait; that site will be on your screen in seconds. Not only that, but you'll now be able to download video clips and even whole movies that would have taken days to download before.

NetSpeed is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) which means we provide High Speed, High Capacity Internet connections without using a traditional copper telephone wire.

Our Internet Connections are made using specialised radio transmitters which broadcast in the 5.8Ghz frequency range, providing a stable, high speed, 'Always On' internet connection. This differs from traditional copper-wire based (ADSL) connections in that it provides higher real-world connection speeds and has the advantage of providing high speed up-load as well as down-load. This means you can send those huge attachments just as fast as you can receive them. Not only that but because we don't use a telephone line, you can be connected to the internet and talk on the phone at the same time.

All you will need to make the connection at your home or business is a small NetSpeed radio device (right) mounted in line-of-sight to the NetSpeed transmission site in your area. Standard NetSpeed client radio unit. Long Range NetSpeed client radio unit. For clients between 6Km and 20Km from the transmission site, a small reflector (right) will be required in addition to the standard radio. These reflectors are about the size of a Sky Satellite dish.
